Pete Doherty's quiet days seem to have ended as an Italian gig turned into a real blood bath as the Babyshambles were playing. First of all, witnesses say that Pete drank an entire bottle of vodka while on stage at the Piper Club and then got verbally aggressive with some members of the audience.
The British 'Evening Standard' reports that a displeased fan threw something towards Doherty but missed by an inch and hit the drummer. Naturally, Pete got upset and threw the mike at the guy, barely grazing his body. The fan did not fail to retaliate and, again, threw something that made the rocker fall, break the bottle he was holding and cut himself.
As spirits slowly settled, the frontman took the drummer's place, barely noticing that he had blood dripping all over his chest. And that was only the beginning: in front of his hotel (where sources say he went accompanied by many female groupies) Pete got into a fight with a reporter that led to serious injuries on both belligerent parties.

While the photographer claims he was attacked for no apparent reason and threatens to press charges, Doherty's publicist announced today that his client was the one that was provoked by being hit with a camera in the head, as the third photo shows.
'Pete Doherty totally denies that he instigated a fight with a photographer in Rome. Reports that the photographer might make an official complaint will certainly interest Pete's lawyers, who can call on witnesses who clearly saw Pete being hit with a camera outside his hotel.', the official statement read.
While the photographer is being now treated at a hospital for the injuries he sustained during the fight, Pete got the first aid from his fans and band members. The statement did not specify whether he needed further treatment or not.
