Here is a clear example that dogs will eat almost anything, including their owner’s savings. A naughty dog almost ruined a Suffolk family's vacation when it gobbled the money they had saved to spend during their holiday in Spain.

Donnah Dear and Ben Lawson, along with their two sons, Toby and Oliver, were doing the final preparations for their four-day trip to Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol when they noticed that £400 ($673 or €490) had disappeared from the kitchen counter.

“We left the money on the kitchen counter and it just disappeared. There wasn’t a trace of it, not a corner of a note or anything,” Donnah said, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The woman and her husband turned the house upside down searching for the money, but found no trace of it. Thinking that the money couldn't have just faded away out of the blue, they began to suspect that their seven-month-old Murphy had something to do with it.

“We realized Murphy must have eaten it. We thought, ‘Oh, no, we are going on holiday with no money’. But it didn’t ruin our trip. We managed to get enough money together,” the mother added.

Luckily, the family got back part of the money, as Murphy pooed it back out. They reportedly retrieved £375 ($631/€460), and Barclays employees were kind enough to put the money in their account although the notes were chewed and stuck together.
