Rob Kardashian has turned to Gunnar Peterson in one more bid to lose the extra weight, get back into shape

Gunnar Peterson, the celebrity trainer who has worked with some of the biggest names in showbiz, is on a mission to help reality star / sock designer Rob Kardashian bounce back into shape. After he left sister Kim’s wedding party before the actual ceremony because he’d been “fat shamed,” Rob turned to Peterson for help.

And Peterson is positive that he will have him back to top shape in no time, as he reveals in a new interview with E! News.

It’s true that Rob has been packing on the pounds in recent months, just as it’s true that he skipped gym workouts, which, combined with his love for unhealthy foods, led to his ballooning weight. However, all that will change soon, the trainer promises.

At the same time, he underlines that Rob is a former athlete, so he will have no problem with discipline, with sticking to a low-calorie diet and regular workout routine, after a short period for adjustment.

“He's such a good guy. Rob was a solid basketball player, a serious runner and he's a serious athlete. It's when life gets in the way, that's what makes it hard to get to the gym. If it was Rob on his own, he'd be in every day. He's pitching shows, he's on a show, he has his sock line and other business ventures,” Peterson says.

Clearly irked that people find it so easy to just mock Rob for his weight gain, Peterson says that the star could be a role model to anyone looking for motivation in losing weight because the man is practically “fighting through human walls” to get to the gym. He’s referring to the paparazzi always stalking Rob and how they make it difficult for him to get to the gym.

Peterson even uses the phrase “drive through the paparazzi obstacle course to get to the gym” when speaking of Rob, saying that alone should be enough to make people back off him for a while.

“Rob is such a solid guy, when he gets in here. I don't care if he weighs 50, 100 or 200 pounds [22.6, 45.3 or 90.7 kg]. He works like an athlete. He never tries to beg out of a set. He never tries to hop off the cardio a minute or two before. He goes the distance every time. There's no doubt in my mind. With 26 years of training experience of doing this, I can tell you without hesitation that Rob Kardashian will get back to his best shape ever,” Peterson stresses.

With all this talk he’s doing about Rob and his new weight loss mission after Kim’s wedding, one would be excused for wondering if they’re working on a new (paid) project, like a spinoff for Rob or perhaps even a workout DVD, or a weight loss program that Peterson has created.

After all, the Kardashians are known for making money out of everything, so there’s no reason this shouldn’t be one of those cases, if you think about it.
