Persona 5 Is in the Early Stages of Development

Katsura Hashino, a producer inside Team Persona, states that his company is currently working on the next core video game in the long-running Persona series.

Speaking to the Japanese magazine, Famitsu Hashino admits that the initial sketches for the characters that are set to appear in the game have been submitted by the team and that the entire process is now progressing well.

The Persona Team has offered no details about a potential fifth full game in the series, but the game might be the first one to arrive on next-generation consoles during late 2013.

Hashino has also revealed that he was working on a new project that is still some time away from being officially announced.

Persona 4 Arena, the fighting game that Arc System Works has designed using the core element of the series, has just been launched on Western markets, giving fans of the franchise something to enjoy until Persona 5.
