If the default disk defragmentation capabilities offered by Windows 7 out of the box are insufficient for you, then Raxco Software offers an alternative guaranteed to integrate seamlessly with the latest Windows client from Microsoft. On September 3, the disk defragmentation software maker announced that
PerfectDisk 10 had been certified by the Redmond-based company for use with Windows 7. The certification is designed as a stamp of approval and an indicator of a top user experience for customers that will opt for PerfectDisk 10 as their defragmentation solution of choice with the successor of Windows Vista.
Microsoft has in place a rigorous set of criteria for certifying applications designed to run on top of Windows 7. Testing involves high standards of compatibility and reliability for all app developers that want to certify their programs for the software giant’s client. According to
Raxco Software, PerfectDisk 10 is the first disk defragmenter to be certified for Windows 7.
“With the growing complexity of interoperability issues, the importance of certification has never been more important,” explained Bob Hegel, Microsoft program manager at Raxco Software. “PerfectDisk has always been at the forefront with certification, and PerfectDisk’s Windows 7 certification adds to a long list of certifications that are unmatched by any other disk defragmenter.”
Raxco Software is offering PerfectDisk 10 in no less than three flavors, one for home users ($29.99), one for IT professionals ($39.99) and another that is designed for Windows Home Server ($49.99).
