14 DAY TRIAL // Perez Hilton, once one of the most vile and hated celebrity bloggers, now turned a celebrity himself, has added another notch to his belt: he is now the proud father of a newborn baby boy.
Because his “family” is online, Perez opted to make the announcement on his popular blog and not release a statement through his publicist, assuming he has one.
He also included with it a photo of himself cradling his new bundle of joy: you can see it attached to this article as well.
“Dear Friends, I want you to hear this directly from me, right here,” Perez writes in a post aptly called “A Very Important Message from Perez.”
“I am ready to announce that earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy - with lots of hair on his tiny head!” he continues.
“My family is overjoyed at this newest and most cherished addition. Thank YOU for welcoming PerezHilton.com into your homes, offices, classrooms, cell phones and wherever else you may read my five websites. And thank you for welcoming ME into your lives!” Perez also says.
He doesn’t mention a name and he says nothing of the mother. Perez, who is openly gay, doesn’t say whether he’s going to be a single parent or not but, as far as the press knows, he’s not in a serious relationship right now.
For a man who seems to be so generous with words, he sure doesn’t say too much about himself anymore these days.
“I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life. And I am honored and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his,” he writes.
The celebrities he once humiliated online and with whom he made peace a long time ago have already rushed to congratulate him on becoming a daddy. Indeed, the outpour of love and happy thoughts, especially on social media, is overwhelming.
