Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was once overweight – and the first one to point that out for the rest of the world. A slimmer and healthier Perez is now embarking on a mission to help others lose weight as well.

And what better way to do that than by means of a brand new website, called FitPerez, which will, of course, combine his longtime love for celebrities with his new found love for working out and eating well.

Speaking of the new project, which comes in an uncharacteristic shade of blue, Perez says it’s his way of encouraging his readers, which remain in record numbers, to ditch their old lifestyle for a healthy one.

After all, who would be better to preach this to the world if not him, as he has already lost a lot of weight and is now focusing on getting a well-defined six-pack.

“It’s an organic next step for me,” the 32-year-old blogger (real name Mario Lavanderia) said of the new project before it went online.

“Hilton said the new site is all about encouraging his readers to be healthier and happier,” Press Of Atlantic City says of the new website.

“It will feature recipes, celebrity workout tips and photos of stars showing off their fit physiques,” the same e-zine notes.

Of course, since Perez himself is a celebrity now, he will be using his connections among A-listers to bring his readers the best of the best in terms of celebrity tips for dieting and working out.

“Hilton also plans to include interviews with celebrities and their trainers, food and fitness trends and stories about fertility, mood issues and other health concerns,” the aforementioned e-zine notes.

In July this year, Perez agreed to do a spread for InTouch Magazine to showcase his incredible weight loss and to talk about his amazing journey thus far.

Back then, the blogger had dropped no less than 61 pounds (from 248 pounds two years back) and was determined not to stop until he got a six-pack, as we also reported at the time.
