14 DAY TRIAL // Award shows often don't show the real popularity of stars since the winners are elected by a small number of people, who make up a judging panel. That's why the People's Choice Awards were created, to give the public a voice and a chance to pick their favorites.
The big winners of the night were without a doubt Sandra Bullock, Justin Timberlake and Robert Downey Jr.
Shows like "Walking Dead" and "Big Bang Theory" were also among the fan favorites, picking up several awards in different categories.
Justin Timberlake was definitely the darling of the public in the music section, being named top artist in two categories and managing to pick up an award for Best Album of the Year as well. His "The 20/20 Experience" took home the prize.
There were some surprises too, like "Game of Thrones," which somehow managed to go unnoticed, despite being nominated in several categories. It was beat to it by other TV shows such as "Breaking Bad" and "The Walking Dead."
