Demi Lovato won Favorite Pop Artist at last night's People's Choice Awards 2012. Before she accepted the award, she put on a rousing rendition of “Give Your Heart a Break,” which you can see in full in the video above.Rocking a bright red mullet dress and her trademark fearless attitude, Demi took to the stage and performed the track, receiving very warm applause from the audience at the end.
She then gracefully accepted her award and, obviously overwhelmed with excitement, noted that she didn't even expect to win in the first place.
“The nominees that I was up against are people that I look up to and aspire to be one day, and I won this award because of my fans, so I dedicate this to you guys. I love you guys so much,” she said.
As a side note, while we believe Demi is one of the most promising Disney stars out there right now, we can't help but notice that, vocally, this wasn't her best performance to date.
