14 DAY TRIAL // Alex Kurtzman, known for his association to “Alien,” “Xena: Warrior Princess,” but also to “Transformers,” “Mission: Impossible” and “Cowboys & Aliens,” is making his directorial debut with the family drama “People like Us.”

Starring Chris Pine as Sam, a young man burdened with debt who learns he's inherited some money, only to have to part with it, the film promises to be situated at the juncture between drama and rom-com.
Elizabeth Banks is his half-sister, born in the second family his father kept but never told anyone about.
The film also stars Olivia Wilde as Pine's love interest, and the always stunning Michelle Pfeiffer as his mother.
It will premiere in the US on June 29.
