The city is engulfed in smog, natural light is pretty much absent

As reported just yesterday, the city of Beijing in China has been hit by this year's first major air pollution crisis.

By the looks of it, the smog that this urban area is engulfed in is so thick that natural light is pretty much absent.

Consequently, people have decided that, since their chances of watching a real sunrise or a sunset are slim to none, they might as well derive some pleasure from watching these phenomena unravel on TV.

According to Daily Mail, the TV screen pictured above is intended to run advertisements concerning various tourist destinations.

Still, it would appear that many stare at it and others of its kind to try and remember what a real sunset or sunrise looks like.

Needless to say, the images on the screen make a stark contrast with the gray-ish color of Beijing's buildings and even residents.
