Jesse James, the biker mogul and former husband of Sandra Bullock, believes he’s still the most hated man in America right now, even a year after the scandal that ruined his marriage. People will only be happy if he killed himself, he says in a brand new interview.

Having kept mum on the topic for so long (save some exceptions), James is now opening up about his marriage to the Oscar-winning actress, the cheating scandal and the divorce that followed.

Of course, it stands to reason for him to do that just now, since he’s promoting his first book, “American Outlaw,” which also touches on the subjects mentioned above, including his troubled childhood.

PopEater spoke with James on the occasion of the launch, asking him whether he did not think the timing of the release was a bit off – as in, that he should have waited for more time to pass after the divorce.

“It doesn’t matter if I wait, it’ll always be to too quick to the public. I could wait ten years and everybody will say, ‘How come he’s rushing into it?’ It’s one of those things,” he says.

Then again, it’s not like he didn’t receive offers in the past for a book, but he always turned him down on this reasoning.

Now, he knows that he can’t do anything to keep everybody happy – so he’s choosing to put himself first instead.

“At this point I don’t think I’m going to be able to do anything right in anybody’s eyes ever again, except kill myself or disappear, then people will be happy I guess,” he says.

After Michelle “Bombshell” McGee went to the media and sold her story of the affair she had with James, others followed. He soon became the most hated man in America, both with media and the fans.

Not much has changed since then, Jesse James believes.

“I think I still am today. It feels pretty good because I just ate good Greek food in New Jersey so not too bad. It was definitely trying at times to try and keep my head on my shoulders and try and take care of my kids,” he says.
