Pentoo 2013.0 RC1.1 Is Based on Linux Kernel 3.7.5

Pentoo, a security-focused livecd based on Gentoo with lots of customized tools, customized kernel, tons of other features, is now at version 2013.0 RC1.1.

Highlights of Pentoo 2013.0 RC1.1:

• The distribution is based on 3.7.5 kernel (pax hardened for 64 bit users) and features fully hardened toolchain;
• A shiny new installer has been added;
• Automatic and manual modes for normal partitioning and booting now work properly;

The developer also announced some important changes, but it didn't specify when they should be available in the main branch.

“We have some really big plans for you all in the near future, so download Pentoo, hack all the things, report all the bugs, and together we are going to have an awesome 2013. Thanks for your support, and have fun,” stated the official blog post.

right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
