Pentax has recently launched several new firmware updates for their digital cameras. Among the new releases, we find update version 1.12 for the Q camera.

One of the release notes is Pentax's “watermark” improvement regarding the stability of the device in order to achieve a better general performance.

Besides this, they claim to have corrected the Tone Expansion of Smart Effect issue, reported with the previous version of the firmware, 1.11.

There are some notes that come with the update, among which are the manufacturer’s apologies for the inconveniences caused by the previous firmware and the confirmation that updates and fixes found in previous releases are included in the 1.12.

Before updating, bear in mind that the camera settings will be returned to default; therefore; Pentax recommends that you make a memorandum of them.
