Remember Ricoh’s last year’s flagship K-3 DSLR? Well, the company has just revamped the camera by adding an auxiliary battery kit plus changing the coloring scheme a little bit, so it is offering it under the Prestige Edition moniker.

The new DSLR comes with a gunmetal paintjob, but apart from that noting sets it apart from last year’s version.

Those acquiring the Prestige Edition will be getting the same 24.35MP APS-C sensor inside working hand in hand with a Prime III processor. The K-3 is capable of burst-shooting at 8.3fps, has ISO 51200 sensitivity and full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) video shooting capabilities.

The camera also takes advantage of a pentaprism viewfinder, two SDXC card slots and a 3.2-inch 1,037,000-dot screen.

The sensor and processor are said to enable users to shoot low-noise images and videos. The K-3 brings a unique characteristic to the DSLR family in the form of an anti-aliasing filter, which allows photographers to turn the AA filter on and off, depending on their respective needs.

The Prestige Edition camera can also be paired with a dedicated strap that will become available only with this particular bundle. The camera is currently up for pre-order and will take you back with $1,396 / €1,037.
