Later today, we’re going to be seeing the new Pentax arrive in the wild

Earlier last week, we told you the Pentax 645z medium camera was expected to arrive on the 14 of April, which is today.

Well, with a few hours until the official announcement, the entire set of specifications for the camera has been leaked online, courtesy of Photo Rumors. Originally posted by Ricoh Germany, these specifications have since then been taken down.

But, first, a needed clarification. Previous rumors have claimed the camera will be able to shoot 4K video in the traditional sense, but this will not be the case. Specifically, the Pentax 645z will come bundling a “4K interval mode,” probably in the vein of the K3.

So no actual 4K video shooting here, but if you’re still interested in something of the sort, keep your eyes on the upcoming new Leica S camera.

Anyway, here’s the list of the most important specifications, but if you want the whole list can go take a look at Photo Rumors.

• 51.4-megapixel 32.8 x 43.8mm Sony CMOS sensor • ISO 100 – 204,800 • PRIME III image processor • 4K interval shooting: 2-2000 frame with one or more second intervals • SAFOX11 AF system: 27 point (25 cross type), LW -3 to +18 • 3.2-inch 1.037M-dot tiltable LCD • TTL metering with 86k RGB sensor • Live View capable • Focus peaking

Additionally, a couple of pictures have been leaked in the past few days and I’m attaching those too, so you know what to expect earlier today.
