Apart from being a great comedic source for the show, Kaley Cuoco's character from “The Big Bang Theory” sitcom hasn't really worked hard at developing her career in acting. Sure, there's been the odd job here and there, a commercial or a small part, but it was nothing to write home about.

The creator of the very popular show, Chuck Lorre, has noticed this and he has decided to make a radical change in her life. If you don't want to find out spoilers, this would be a good time to stop reading and just close the article.

In the upcoming season, Penny apparently gets tired of not being able to cut it in the acting business and she makes a career change. Lorre has revealed that Penny will opt to work a 9 to 5 job in pharmacy. She will take a hint from Bernadette, played by Melissa Rauch, and take a job at her pharmaceutical company.

This major change in lifestyle is described by Lorre as causing some imbalance in her relationship with Leonard, played by John Galecki: “She is going to start making some money, which will unbalance their relationship as the power shifts.”

The show's popularity has recently made some of the actors involved in making the movie request bigger paychecks that are in the neighborhood of one million dollars for each episode. To give you an idea, the cast is now being paid a third of that sum, so it's actually a pretty big raise they are asking.

Among those who asked for the raise were Kaley Cuoco who plays Penny, Johnny Galecki who plays Leonard and Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon, so basically all the important characters, without whom the show couldn't possibly be the same.

Fans were worried that such outrageous demands during the off-season might force the show to be cancelled in the event that the network didn't want to give so much cash to the actors, but Lorre puts spirits at ease when he showed himself more than eager to offer the pay increase.

He is quoted as saying that this problem “will work itself out” and that “I want them all to be crazy wealthy because nobody deserves it more than this cast.”

So far, the new season for the sitcom is a go and it's scheduled to being on July 30, that is a couple of days.
