A woman from Pennsylvania described that she and her daughter found toenails in L'Oven Fresh buns.

Monica Gutierrez had made ham and cheese sandwiches using the bread bought from an Aldi supermarket. According to the Morning Call, the two women bit into the hard, curved nails and spit them out right away.

24-year-old Camila Reyes described how her mother had a look at the remaining loaves of bread acquired at the discount store and the inspection revealed even more clippings.

"Then you could see it clearly. [...] It was clippings of toenails. I got nauseous and almost threw up. After that I didn't want to touch the sandwich. We were just in shock. We didn't know what to do," she says.

Gutierrez has alerted the FDA but she is not sending the nails to the manufacturer. She intends to have them independently examined.
