Penis - the new Microsoft's iPod Killer

While the Redmond Company has not as yet confirmed Zune as the official brand under which it will launch its iPod rival, the name is being used as a temporary umbrella term for the portable media
player from Microsoft, at least while it is in its development stage. The issue with Zune is that it breaks an unofficial linguistic barrier. In this regard, while Zune cannot be associated with derogatory or otherwise pejorative terms from a dictionary, it is possible to find a dyslogism synonym in the French-Canadians slang repertoire.

Reports have indicated that in the French-Canadian sub-dialect, Zune makes reference to a man's genitalia, more explicitly, a man's penis. Microsoft representatives have not commented in any way to this, but it's safe to assume that this is a simple coincidence and that the Redmond Company will actually market the product under a different brand, one that is less controversial. Analysts have suggested that even this early association of Microsoft's future portable media player with such a pejorative term could harm the products image and that the slang analogy was especially dug-up in order to impact the upcoming device.
