Penelope Cruz's sexuality was never that much under discussion as it is now. Of course, rumors about her playing both fields circulated ever since she became an international star, but not the way they are now, due to her behavior towards her 'Banditas' co-star, gorgeous Salma Hayek.

To fuel even more these rumors, out of which Penelope gets lots of free publicity (as she already admitted during a recent interview), the Spanish actress talks about her onscreen kiss with Oscar-winning Charlize Theron, with whom she co-starred in 'Head in the Clouds'.

When a reporter asked Penelope to name her best onscreen kiss, the actress quickly answered: 'Can I say Charlize Theron?' and then cooed: 'Yes, Charlize, Charlize, Charlize'. Even if she will remain only with the memory of the kiss she shared with Charlize, Cruz says that she's happy she got people talking about her being a lesbian.

The 'Volver' star admitted that it was her the one who started the rumor in the first place, by getting more than cozy with Salma, with whom she did 'Baditas'. The moment she noticed that people would pay much more attention to her if they thought she was gay, she began touching Salma slightly and fooling the tabloids into believing that it was them the ones who 'cracked the story'.

As a matter of fact, she even gave an example of a moment when she acted gay towards Salma to get the journalists to pay more attention. As she was promoting her latest movie 'Volver', she told the media of one instance in which she grabbed Hayek's butt during a press conference for more publicity.

'I grabbed Salma's ass - just to keep things moving, because everyone was a little slow', Penelope told the press. And, guess what?... it's working! She got massive media coverage each time she came to the US, with the paparazzi constantly following her, in the hope that maybe (just maybe!) they would catch her with another woman.
