Penelope Cruz Wants ‘Fame Hungry’ Eva Longoria to Leave Her Brother Alone

About two months after separating from her husband Tony Parker, Eva Longoria had already found comfort in the arms of Eduardo Cruz, the younger brother of Penelope Cruz. Now, Penelope wants him to break if off with Eva.

The National Enquirer (story via here) claims to have it from very reliable sources that Penelope is not at all happy about Eva and Eduardo dating.

She believes the age difference (Eva is 10 years older than Eduardo) and the fact that they started dating so soon after her divorce are clear signs that the romance won’t last.

Moreover, Penelope is convinced that Eva is using the new affair to keep her name in the media, and she doesn’t want her brother exploited like that, says the tab.

She’s already taken the necessary steps to see that the two break things off before it’s not too late, and is speaking to Eduardo on a regular basis, trying to convince him that he could do and deserves much better than this.

“Penelope is worried that the romance is nothing more than a rebound fling for Eva. Penelope is worried Eduardo will get his heart broken when Eva moves on to her next flavor of the month,” a source says for the Enquirer.

“Penelope believes Eva is nothing more than a fame-hungry, bad B-list actress who is using Eduardo in an effort to further her career,” adds the spy.

“Penelope doesn’t understand why Eduardo is settling for a woman nearly 10 years older – especially one who failed so spectacularly at her last relationship. She thinks Eduardo can do much better than Eva,” says the source.

As such, “she’s always reminding him that he’s young, gorgeous and successful and that he could have his pick of women.” After all, he is considered a very handsome man.

Eva, on the other hand, has picked up on Penelope’s dislike of her and is trying to get Eduardo to set up a meeting with her and her husband, Javier Bardem. Penelope won’t even hear of such a thing, though.

“Penelope has no desire to get chummy with Eva. And she wishes she’d leave her baby brother alone, too,” says the same unnamed insider.

Proof that Eduardo is quite head over heels in love with Eva came when he unveiled a brand new tattoo on his arm: “Eva” written above the etching of a ship.
