Just day ago, it was announced that sleep deprivation killed a man who did not get enough rest because he stayed up to watch the World Cup. As it turns out, this football competition has claimed yet another victim.

Thus, Mirror tells us that, this past Saturday, a 69-year-old man in Brazil suffered a heart failure while watching his country's game against Chile in a bar close to the Mineirao Stadium and died in a matter of minutes.

In a nutshell, the man is believed to have passed away because he got a tad too excited when watching the penalty shootout thanks to which Brazil won the match against Chile. He did get to see his country win the game though.

According to local media, nearly 100 football enthusiasts in Brazil required medical attention during the country's game with Chile. Of these people, one was a 50-year-old woman whose heart problems were made worse by the competition.

By the looks of it, another injured fan was a young man who got into a fight over the match, had his nose broken by someone way more determined to prove their point, and had to be rushed to a hospital.

Since this year's World Cup is far from over, it's safe to assume that news like this will continue to make headlines in the days to come.
