PelicanHPC, an iso-hybrid (CD or USB) image that lets you set up a high performance computing cluster in just a few minutes is now at version 2.7.

There are only a few changes in the new version, according to the developers: Octave has been updated to version 3.6.0, dynare to version 3.4.2, and pelicanhpc.pdf is now placed on the desktop. The rest is just a sync with Debian.

PelicanHPC 2.7 is only available for 64-bit CPUs. If users need 32-bit support they will have to download an older version. The last one to offer support for 32-bit is PelicanHPC 2.5.

The PelicanHPC distribution is built with tools from the Debian Live project and user that want to build their own version will only need live-build, deboostrap, rsync, and the make_pelican script. All of these packages are available on the PelicanHPC ISO images.

Download PelicanHPC 2.7 right now from Softpedia.
