Companies have been going out of their way to launch newer and better netbooks meant for home or business use, leading to a market overflowing with such products. PeeWee PC, however, seems to stand out, or apart in this case, through implementing the Atom CPU into a device that, instead of tackling professional needs, focuses on addressing the needs of humans beings that are still in the pre-kindergarten or elementary school stages. The newest machine put up on sale by the company is known as the PeeWee Power Laptop and is both capable and rugged enough to survive the experimental tendencies of most children.

The Power Laptop features a display with a maximum resolution of 1,024 x 600, measures 8.9 inches and has a system configuration that employs, as its core, an Intel Atom N270 central processing unit and the Intel 945GSE Chipset. This CPU is backed by 1GB RAM, a 1.8-inch hard drive with a storage capacity of 30GB and a two-in-one card reader.

The overall build is durable, dust-proof and even has a built-in handle and a water-resistant keyboard, to make sure that accidents won't inevitably and permanently reduce the laptop to a pile of spare parts. Nevertheless, the hardware is only half of what makes the new PeeWee PC machine appealing, the other being the set of 15 educational software titles that give the device its various uses.

“All PeeWee PC computers are designed with equal parts fun, safety, education and durability,” said Oscar Ferreria, President and Co-Founder of PeeWee PC. “The new Power Laptop meets that criteria and addresses the needs of both the children we strive to empower and their rightfully protective parents.”

Parents that have $500 to spare and are interested in acquiring a PeeWee PC Power laptop for their fast growing successors may do so by visiting the official product page.
