Rick Ucker created a cute app for Pebble smartwatch in order to propose to his fiancée in a rather unique way. He wanted the proposal to be romantic but not too romantic, to match the couple's mutual interests and to be a bit geeky as well.

The lovely app was “based on the classic SNES RPG Chrono Trigger that both Rick and his fiancée enjoyed playing as kids,” according to Cult Of Android.

The message was cute and simple accompanied by two of 1995 classic characters. “I love you very much and I want the world to know that we're a team. Let's take on the world together. Let's make it official. Will you be my Lucca?” the message wrote.

“She and I grew up playing a lot of video games and Chrono Trigger was always a favorite of ours. We discovered this fact the night we met, much to our mutual delight,” Ucker explained according to Cult Of Android.

The app was a success as the developer got a big “Yes” from his Lucca after using the smartwatch he received from her for his birthday as a marriage proposal message-bearer. The soon-to-be-married developer released the source code he used so that others can also try his method.

It is a fact that a geek possessing a creative mind and bearing a true love can come up with the most amazing marriage proposals. Some of the most super-geeky “Will you marry me?” questions were asked using a Harry Potter quiz android app, a 12-hours live-tweeted proposal of 8 dates, a StumbleUpon flash card video proposal and a “Will you marry me?” meme flashcard generator.

Other interesting proposals included Cat5e connector rings that match perfectly together, “I choose you” Pokeball ring holder, Mario themed surprise box with the message “Be my player two” or the famous proposal of the guy who customized a version of the game Bejeweled to recreate an engagement ring and propose to his soulmate.
