Pebble is one of the projects on Kickstarter that has seen the best and most widespread reception, but this might be working against it for once.

Back in May, we said that the wrist watch project had raised one hundred times more money than the project needed to get off the ground.

This, however, meant that the number of people who ordered it was colossal compared to what the people behind the project had in mind.

The number can only grow now that a new color option (orange) has been unveiled.

As such, the designers need to make many more than they thought they would.

Unfortunately, this task is proving too tall, so the folks had to push back the availability. Thus, there won't be a launch in September. Really, it isn't clear when shipments will begin anymore.

The next order of business now is to somehow take production form zero (hardware verification stage) to 15,000 Pebbles per week.
