Apple is currently reviewing an update to the official Pebble Smartwatch application which offers full integration with iOS 7’s Notification Center, and which is set to deploy any type of alert onto the Pebble watch.

A new blog entry from Pebble reveals that the company behind one of the world’s most successful smartwatches is coming out with an updated iOS app that promises to deliver “a more delightful user experience.”

“Pebble is now fully integrated with iOS 7 and works seamlessly with Notification Center. This means that any notifications you’ve enabled in Notification Center on your iOS 7 device will appear on your Pebble — just like that,” reads the announcement.

This time around, notifications will go beyond calls, texts, and emails. Any type of alert coming from apps such as Calendar, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, Flickr, Dropbox, WhatsApp, and Flipboard will be displayed on the Pebble Smartwatch.

The only requirement will be to have the updated Pebble application installed on your iDevice.

“A new Pebble app for iOS will enable this functionality and is under review by Apple. Expect an update in the iTunes Store soon,” says Pebble.

The company also announced Pebble SDK 2.0, which makes it easier for developers to build apps for the popular smartwatch. That’s not all though. Shortly after users get accustomed to the new functionality, they’ll be getting even more new features.

“This is just the beginning. Seamless integration with iOS 7 is one of many ways we’re continuously improving Pebble’s user experience,” says Pebble.

“While we’re just starting to roll out SDK 2.0, we already have some amazing watch apps in the works from partners like iControl, Foursquare, GoPro and Yelp. Pebble’s always been an open platform and we can’t wait to see what else developers create with SDK 2.0 — there’s a lot more to come,” the company adds.

Users can already download Pebble Smartwatch (version 1.2.2 at the time of this reporting) and wait for the update to hit right on their iPhones.
