Pebble is offering three new coloring schemes to smartwatch enthusiasts

Pebble is a very well-known name in the smartwatch industry. Back in 2013, the company managed to crowdfund its first project on Kickstarter, in what became one of the most successful campaigns ever initiated on the website.

When the original Pebble arrived into the wild, the smartwatch was offered in black, grey, red, white and orange, so there were plenty of options for those who didn't feel like the drab monochrome scenario.

But if you’re a little bubblier than that and you like tropical, exotic-looking colors, Pebble is thinking of your preferences as well.

The company has just rolled out a triad of limited-edition watches that aim to bring back the mojo to your wrist or at least cheer it up a little.

So from now you’ll be able to pick up the Pebble in Fresh Green, Hot Pink and Fly Blue. The good news is that the coloring schemes won’t be affecting pricing and you can still pick up a model for the same $150 / €112 like you did before.

The watches will be made available through the Pebble website, and once they sell out (it’s a limited edition after all), they will be gone for good, with no hope of you ever getting them back.

So if you're into colors, you better hurry up and head on to the Pebble store and pick one up before they run out.

But that’s not all the new stuff awaiting you in the Pebble domain. The company has also taken the opportunity to launch a new app from The Weather Channel. They have also announced an upcoming Reading Rainbow watchface with an 8-bit LeVar Burton.

Pebble smartwatches might not come with all the fancy features the Samsung Tizen-powered devices or Google’s Android Wear models bring to the table. You can rely on voice search and you can’t install an app on your wrist just by installing it on your smartphone.

However, these little devices have a decent low-power display that can be read in the sunlight without a problem. The watch also delivers vibrating alarms and its app store is quite extensive covering around 1,000 titles, including different watch faces.

If you feel that these new models aren't colorful enough for you, you might want to put off purchasing a Pebble for a while. Just yesterday a new leak revealed that Pebble was working on a successor of its original model. And the next-gen smartwatch will apparently arrive with a color display.
