Pear OS Server 7 Alpha 1 Is Now Available for Download

This is the server edition of the upcoming Pear OS 7 Linux

David Tavares, the developer of the Pear OS Linux operating system, announced a few hours ago that he released the first Alpha version of the upcoming Pear OS 7 Server distribution.

Being powered by Linux kernel 3.5, the first Alpha release of the Pear OS 7 Server includes the following applications LibreOffice 4.0, Software Center, MyPear 4, Pear Cleaner, Pear PPA Manager, On Air, VLC Media Player, Mozilla Firefox, Back Time (a clone of the Apple Time Machine app), Geary Mail, Adobe Flash Player, Shotwell, Empathy, Brasero, Cheese and Notification Center.

At the moment, Pear OS 7 Server is distributable as a DVD ISO image only for the 64-bit architecture. More details can be found in the official release announcement.
