Built on a solid Linux foundation, Pear OS Linux is engineered to take advantage of the technologies in every PC and to deliver the most intuitive and integrated computer experience.

Pear OS 3.0 RC1 contains only a small number of changes and updates: fixed the display of user folder on the desktop during installation, added and edit y-ppa-manager to add sources and make it compatible with Pear OS, changed start-up screen, the bug "gdm-hack.py" is resolved, and made slight modifications to the interface.

Pear OS 3.0 will feature GNOME 3 desktop environment and Linux kernel 3.0. Download Pear OS Linux 3.0 RC1 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
