Surface and docks look phantastic - very apple-clone, but that is the idea I guess. Opera is my favourite Browser anyway AND my email client. It's actually great!
ONLY: The windows look somewhat dull to me. Grey in Grey. After the rest of the design is so fancy, grey flat windows look boring.
Will try it anyway!

Ugh. Buy a Mac and get it over with. Yeeesh.

Overall, I am very impressed by Pear OS 3.0. Yes it is an apple clone, but I believe that is one of the beauties of Linux ... cream rises to the top; so if Microsoft or Apple (or IBM or Hewlett-Packard ...) have something that is an obvious quality design why shouldn't this be ported to Linux (rhetorical question). I have played around with the OS for a few days, but I haven't tried syncing my smartphone's music yet. Rhythmbox is the app that I find easiest and most comfortable with as Banshee doesn't handle playlists (rhythmbox isn't brilliant either, but personally I have found it easier to work with); have not tried Clementine fully yet. My main concern with Pear OS 3.0 is that after installation and having specified my language preference as English, when I open the Appstore, all the options and folder titles are in French. I may try re-installing and try using my selected language as German to see if the problem is limited to English installations or if the Appstore remains Francais regardless.

Did re-install and tried to specify language as German - however install defaulted to English regardless but 'Regional Format' still defaulted to French. After changing both to Deutsch/German most system folders remain in English (AppStore still defaulting to French, whch it seems can't be changed).
Browsed around a little and it may be that there is a known bug (perhaps in PHP?) that is the root of the problem - so, until that is resolved I don't think there is much that can be done with these installation issues.

I uninstalled the French language packs and rebooted.

I am triple booting now with Pear OS as my third OS. Working great for me.
