14 DAY TRIAL // Peapod has announced the availability of PeapodMobile, a mobile application which allows customers to buy their groceries conveniently from their iOS device.
The application is free to download for all iOS devices, as well as for Android, and Palm Pre users, and offers Peapod’s most convenient shopping features, along with a few new ones, the company said.
These key benefits include the ability to type in search words or enter a UPC to find exactly what you need, save money with the thousands of items on sale each week (weekly specials), the ability to shop from the items you've bought before via My Lists and Previous Purchases, and a My Specials category, which allows users to choose from a list of their past purchases on sale that week.
An additional feature is Guess My Order, described by Peapod as a rapid way to shop by adding the items you frequently buy with a single touch.
"Our customers are active consumers with busy lifestyles who look for ways to save time. Imagine grocery shopping while riding the subway to work, or adding milk to your grocery list from the soccer field," said Thomas Parkinson, Chief Technology Officer for Peapod.
"In a recent Peapod survey we learned that more than 63 percent of respondents sometimes or frequently forget to buy something they really need while grocery shopping.”
