According to a new paper authored by researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and Harvard Medical School and published in the journal Breast Cancer Research and Treatment, peanut butter consumption is quite beneficial.

Specifically, it appears that girls who eat lots of peanut butter between the ages of 9 and 15 enjoy better breast health in adulthood.

Thus, they are nearly 40% less likely to develop benign breast disease by the time they turn 30.

Given the fact that said medical condition significantly ups a woman's chances to get cancer, the researchers who looked into this issue were left with no choice expect conclude that peanut butter consumption during adolescence reduces breast cancer risk.

“These findings suggest that peanut butter could help reduce the risk of breast cancer in women,” explains specialist Graham Coldits, as cited by RedOrbit.
