The model's family was worried about her shocking weight loss

It's been a couple of days now since Peaches Geldof, the daughter of famous musician Bob Geldof, has passed unexpectedly at the tender age of 25 and there is still no clue as to what might have caused her sudden death. An autopsy is scheduled to take place later this week and hopefully will shed some light into the situation.

Now a new theory as to what might have caused her death is popping up online. Several publications, including Radar, are claiming that Peaches was on a dangerous diet at the time of her death and that she'd lost a lot of weight just before she inexplicably died.

Fans and experts now analyze photos taken of her in the last couple of months and everyone agrees that Peaches had a shrinking frame, to the point that it was becoming worrying. This weight loss is being attributed to a radical diet that friends are claimed to have warned her about.

Geldof's “worryingly skinny” frame drew not only side glances and double takes at the London Fashion Week back in February, but also concerns from acquaintances and friends. The same can be said about the photos she was posting on Instagram, which revealed her shockingly thin waist and arms.

This wasn't the first time that Peaches shocked people with her yo-yoing weight. Bloggers now remember that, back in 2011, she revealed that she often lived for weeks at a time only on miso soup and fruit.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, she said that “I do juicing. You juice vegetables and then you drink it three times a day. It's gross. I do it usually for about a month.” She also added, “I have no willpower, but with the juicing, I”m like, ‘I have to do it because I have to lose this extra ten pounds’.”

It's exactly these practices that have led to concern over her health and, at the time she made these confessions in 2011, a spokeswoman for the British Dietetic Association blasted her techniques as irresponsible.

“Surviving on fruit is a very dangerous diet. Peaches is at a high risk of electrolyte abnormalities, which could lead to cardiac arrest. Rapid dieting like this not only makes you lose muscle strength, but wastes away your internal organs. … It’s worrying that somebody who has money and access to contacts would pick such a ridiculous way to diet,” the announcement said.

Taking into consideration the fact that there were no hard drugs present at the scene, nor a suicide note and signs of foul play, this dangerous diet is the only way to explain how an otherwise healthy 25-year-old dropped dead without warning.
