14 DAY TRIAL // Payday 2 has just received a brand new event from developer Overkill Software in the form of the Hype Train, which sees the community pre-purchase two different DLC packs and help unlock all sorts of free rewards for all owners of the game on PC.
Payday 2 came out way back in 2013 and developer Overkill Software proved capable of supporting the title for a very long time, releasing constant updates with new free content, as well as plenty of premium DLC that added fresh heists, gear, masks, and much more.
The Hype Train is rolling out for Payday 2
After launching the Bomb Heists last month for Payday 2, a brand new and much more ambitious event is kicking off, in the form of the Hype Train, according to the official website.
The new Hype Train is powered by fuel that's unlocked by the community every time members pre-purchase one of the two new add-ons for Payday 2, in the form of the Overkill Pack or the Complete Overkill Pack.
The Overkill DLC brings forth quite a lot of impressive goodies to the game, starting with a very powerful minigun, as well as three weapon modifications for it, a rocket launcher, an escape van skin, an Overkill mask, and 10 achievements. Meanwhile, the much pricier Complete Overkill DLC brings forth four new masks based on the original ones worn by the four Payday 2 main characters. A secret reward, however, is also promised.
Each add-on comes with Hype Train fuel, and depending on the total, a variety of different rewards will be unlocked, from new features to new characters, mechanics, or even a PaydayCon event that will feature plenty of major prizes for fans.
Bear in mind that the Hype Train takes place between February 5 and March 12, and the actual rewards will be rolled out for free to all members of the community during the Spring Break event between March 13 and 21.
