Overkill Software continues to spoon feed details about the upcoming Diamond Heist add-on for Payday 2 to loyal fans from around the world, this time confirming what new masks, tools, and features are included in the large DLC, which is now available alongside the Clover Character Pack on Steam.

Payday 2 launched last year and has since received a huge amount of fresh content, as the team at Overkill decided to get the community involved and has rewarded it with a wide variety of free DLC, not to mention some impressive premium expansions that brought plenty of innovative things to the cooperative first-person shooter.

Two new DLCs are available

Two new add-ons are now available for the game on the PC platform via the Steam service, in the form of the Diamond Heist and the Clover Character Pack. After sharing some details over the last few days, some more info is now available via the official website about the Diamond Heist add-on in particular.

First up, Overkill confirms that players will rob the McKendrick museum in Washington DC, a gorgeous location that boasts not just treasures but also plenty of security, both outside and inside. Players will have to make sure to avoid laser tripwires and plenty of other high-tech alarms if they want to get as much loot as possible. In order to avoid them, players can use new glass cutters or thermal paste, which are also present in the add-on.

Four new maps are included, based on old gods like Anubis or Pazuzu, but also monsters like Medusa and The Cursed One, an old man who was destroyed by the actual diamond. Four new patterns and four new materials for masks are included in the DLC.

Those who get the Diamond Heist can score seven new achievements.

One fresh feature and three different bundles are also available

Besides the add-ons, Overkill has also brought forth new surprises for Payday 2 players, as they can all take advantage of a new feature called Multi Skill Build, which allows them to create up to five different skill builds and easily swap between them. Up until now, players had to rebuild their own skills and perks every time they wanted a change.

There are also new Payday 2 DLC bundles that will go live on Steam starting on December 18. They consist of the Heist Collection, the Weapon Pack Collection, and the Game of the Year edition, which includes all the different add-ons released for the game up until now. All of them feature bonus masks to reward players for their loyalty.
