14 DAY TRIAL // After releasing a teaser trailer about the upcoming Bomb Heists DLC for Payday 2 last week, developer Overkill Software now shares some actual details, not to mention a couple of screenshots with the two different adventures that will soon debut for the popular cooperative shooter.
Payday 2 launched way back in 2013, and since then, developer Overkill has made sure to keep players hooked on the cooperative experience by releasing a wide variety of downloadable content, both in terms of free and premium add-ons that brought new heists, guns, masks, items, and adventures to the game.
Now, after rolling out the big Diamond heist at the end of last year, which included a big adventure and even a new character in the form of Clover, the game is set to receive the Bomb Heists add-on in the very near future.
The Bomb Heists add-on is coming
A teaser trailer launched last week and now the official website has been set up for the new DLC, complete with a few loose details.
First up, it seems that the theme of the add-on is the Balkan smuggling route, which covers everything from drugs, to weapons, gear, and other illegal goods. The employer of the Payday crew will be a contact called the Butcher, and she has ties to everyone from the IRA to the Albanian Mafia and can smuggle everything worldwide.
Two different heists and a new character are going to debut
The website also confirms that there will be two different missions included in the DLC, one called Forest and one called Dockyard. Presumably players will have to help steal bombs or other gear while performing as well as possible.
Not much else is known but it seems that another add-on that adds a different character called Dragan will also be released alongside the Bomb Heists.
Expect to hear more about the upcoming content for Payday 2 in the following days, and the actual DLCs probably at the end of the week at least on the PC platform.
