Stuart Metcalfe proudly announced a few hours ago, December 8th, on the Canonical blog that the popular PayPal payment method will be available in Ubuntu Software Center by Christmas.

"It’s been a long time in development, but we’re finally drawing close to releasing Paypal support in Ubuntu Pay, the payment service behind Ubuntu Software Centre." - said Stuart Metcalfe in the blog post.

Except for a couple of screenshots showing PayPal as a second payment method when buying something from Ubuntu's package installer, Ubuntu Software Center, there is no other information about this.

Canonical expects to implement the PayPal payment method by Christmas, supporting all Ubuntu release who feature the new Ubuntu Software Center application.

Take a look at the original blog post to see the screenshots of PayPal in action, in Ubuntu Software Center.
