The team does not have the resources to create them

David Goldfarb, the director working on PayDay 2, says that his team never had plans to include any kind of Players versus Player modes in the game because it wanted to focus on making cooperative gameplay the best it could be.

He tells VG247 that, “It was a good point of focus and I think it allowed the studio to make sensible calls about most things. I don’t think that would have happened if we’d had fallen into the trap that it seems a lot of people do, which is, ‘oh we’ve got to add this!’ I’ve been on those teams.”

PayDay 2 allows four players to work together in order to execute a number of missions and as the game progresses, they get access to more weapons and abilities that allow them to execute more elaborate plans.

Goldfarg says that fans have reacted well to the cooperative focus and that the game is profitable enough to support in the long term.
