The development team at OverKill Software and publisher 505 Games are announcing that their upcoming PayDay 2 will no longer be delivered exclusively via digital distribution and will be sold at retail for both the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.

The title will also be offered on the PC via the Steam service from Valve and will be launched in August of this year.

David Goldfarb, the game director working on PayDay 2, states, according to AllGamesBeta, that, "We have a bit of a problem here at Overkill – there are just too many great ideas and none that we were really happy to throw out - so PayDay 2 has become just too big to reserve release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network alone."

The game will allow players to take part in complex heists and then fight their teammates over the correct division of the spoils.
