The Humble Voxatron Debut allows players to try out a new indie game

The people behind the Humble Indie Bundle and the Wolfire studio, the independent developer behind the upcoming Voxatron, have presented a brand new deal, in the form of the Humble Voxatron Debut, which allows you to pay whatever you want for the new game's alpha stage before it's officially released.

Such bundles and special offers are becoming extremely popular among small, independent developers, as we already had a special Humble Indie Bundle earlier this year, while another website, Indie Royale, has just kicked off its first offer.

Now, Wolfire Games and the team behind the Humble Bundle have presented a special deal for the upcoming Voxatron title, which allows those interested in it to pay whatever they want for it and support not just the actual indie studio but also charities like Child's Play or the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

"Pay what you want," the teams revealed. "Voxatron will cost $15, but we're letting you set the price! Voxatron works great on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Be the first to tackle this voxel-based, old-school-gone-new platform shooter. Jump into the Voxatron alpha and shoot your way through twenty challenging areas filled with blocky baddies, destructible toys, and palliative powerups."

Once you pay for Voxatron, you'll get all future content and gameplay updates for free, as well as access to the ever growing user generated content section, that allows people to create their own wacky stages, play through them and then share the levels online with other Voxatron players.

What's more, after examining the website's HTML source code, it seems that a special incentive is also coming for this deal, as Voxatron might soon be joined by The Binding of Isaac. This could mean, however, that the recently released indie title from Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl, will be a part of a new deal, which hasn't been announced just yet.

Expect more details about new indie bundles soon enough. Until then, check out the video below for the current Voxatron deal.
