Paul McCartney, the former member of The Beatles and successful composer and performer, has confirmed that he was working with video game developer Bungie, creating the soundtrack for their coming first-person shooter project.

Via a Twitter message, the legendary musician has stated, “I’m really excited to be working on writing music with @bungie, the studio that made Halo.:

This comes as a clarification of information that McCartney has given out in January of this year, when he led fans know that he was “working on music for a computer game.”

Bungie has revealed that it was working on an action shooter title with a science fiction setting and has suggested that the official name of the project might be Destiny.

Analysts are suggesting that the game might be launched during 2013, but the company has not offered any official information on it yet.

A new Halo title will come during the fall of this year, created by 343 Industries and Microsoft.
