Paul McCartney entered in the 'Guinness Book of Records' with the Beatles classic 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band', for being the fastest-selling online song of all time.

The new version of the song, performed by Sir Paul McCartney and U2 at Live 8, topped the Official UK Download Chart within just hours of its release and knocked down James Blunt with the single 'You're beautiful'.

The song entered in the 'Guinness Book of Records' for being the quickest single put on sale. It was available online within 45 minutes.

Ben Drury, spokesman for 7 Digital which created the download, said: "It came out on a Saturday, so actually entered the chart at No6 after just a few hours of sales.

I received the audio from a runner. This guy literally ran from the gig with a CD We uploaded it and the programmers did their magic" .

All the profits will be donated to Live 8, which raises money to help Africa.
