Following his teaming up with PETA and taking a stand against animal farms, musician Paul McCartney has now taken an interest in the cosmetics industry and its habit of testing new products on animals.

Long story short, the musician is asking that people join Cruelty Free International in their fight against the cosmetics industry, and demand that the practice of testing cosmetics on animals be banned worldwide.

Ecorazzi says that, according to said organization, as many as 80% of the world's countries still allow companies to torture animals for this purpose.

Interestingly enough, ongoing legislations in China even say that testing cosmetics on animals is mandatory prior to their being made available to consumers.

“Together we have made a huge difference, yet animals continue to suffer because over 80% of the world still allows cosmetics testing on animals.”

“I am now supporting Cruelty Free International with its campaign to seek a global ban to ensure that animals do not suffer for the sake of beauty anywhere in the world,” Paul McCartney reportedly said.
