According to a rumor by the Daily Mail, British actor Paul Bettany has just landed the role of Vision on the upcoming Marvel film “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The 42-year-old is billed to play the artificially-intelligent android called Vision.

The news came after Bettany was spotted together with Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the film, at Shepperton Studios in London doing a “series of costume, hair and make-up tests and worked with stuntmen and armourers.”

The make-up artists were working on Bettany to achieve Vision's special complexion, described as being “chalky white,” despite the fact that in the comics, her has a red face and wears a green and yellow suit.

Bettany is no stranger to working for Marvel, having previously portrayed Tony Stark's computerized butler Jarvis in all of the “Iron Man” movies, as well as the previous “Avengers.” This might indicate that director Joss Whedon is somehow trying to bring Jarvis to life by turning him into Vision.

No official confirmation from Marvel has been yet issued.
