14 DAY TRIAL // The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards took place on Sunday and, as all Twilighters must already know, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were also in attendance, even taking to the stage at one point to present the new, extended trailer for “New Moon.” Photos of the three backstage have just surfaced on the Internet and, according to CeleBuzz, they clearly show that Pattinson and Stewart are an item.
As much as fans might dislike this, it’s clear that there are many out there (including media outlets) who desperately want them to be together. Body language, they say, is the loudest (pun intended) indicator that they are an item, as speculation has it: the photos backstage at the VMAs show Robert with a hand on Kristen’s shoulder, bodies touching and Taylor standing some distance from Stewart.
“Well someone certainly looks like a third wheel! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart got all cute and cozy backstage at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards while a seemingly lost Taylor Lautner lurked to the side. Hmm, maybe Taylor is just serving as the new Robsten security detail?” CeleBuzz writes in the post accompanying the gallery of photos taken of the three “Twilight” stars at the Video Music Awards.
Ironically enough and going against the habit of tabloid media, no other story has yet surfaced about what Robert and Kristen may have done backstage. However, as we were also telling you a while back, the consensus at this moment seems to be that they are, indeed, an item and, moreover, that they are willing to risk everything – including their careers in Hollywood – just to be together, despite several warnings from Summit Entertainment not to do so.
“The producers took Rob and Kris aside and told them to keep their relationship under wraps for a few more months. But they’re so much in love, they can’t keep their hands off each other. They’re crazy about each other, and they want to shout it from the rooftops. But they’re also part of this massive machine called Twilight and producers have this thing timed with scientific precision. They don’t want Rob and Kristen to tell the world about their relationship until the time is right.” an unnamed source was telling the media a short while back about Kristen and Robert’s determination to go public with their romance, no matter what.
