14 DAY TRIAL // Last night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, one of the hottest movies of the summer of 2010 premiered: “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” Fans who had gathered from all over the world with as much as 4 days in advance had the wonderful chance of seeing the entire cast, plus a slew of countless other celebrities, walk the red carpet for the traditional red carpet ceremony.
It was truly a fancy affair – and one of the few instances when the fans got to see “the Twilight trio” together for the same event. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, who play the leads in the films based on Stephenie Meyer’s original novels, all looked dashing: very elegant and stylish, they still managed to look youthful and comfortable. While other stars went for a more glamorous look, these three chose rather casual yet still incredibly stylish outfits.
Kristen Stewart, for instance, whom the fans rarely see in a dress since she’s more of a tomboy (as she’s the first to admit), rocked a superb Elie Saab minidress of white wool, with only one sleeve and an oversized cut-out in the back. She matched it with beige pumps, and updo and a blinding smile. Robert Pattinson, on the other hand, went for the retro look with a maroon suit tailored close to his body, a grey shirt and black narrow tie and shoes.
Taylor Lautner too was his old stylish self – he may be the youngest but he can certainly rock a suit when the occasion demands it. Equally glamorous was Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the film, in a flowing grey Alexis Mabille Couture dress, matched with Christian Louboutin pumps, a clutch by VBH and Buccellati jewels. Co-star Nikki Reed was the only one to make a contrasting note, going for a design that was very stylish and incredibly bold.
Reed picked a Marchesa dress with feather details, which made the most of her long pins and toned figure, Louboutin shoes, jewels by Brumani, and a Jenny Packham clutch. Reed brought along no less than three dates to have the first (official) look at the third film in “The Twilight Saga,” of which some reviewers are already saying it’s the best so far.
