Patriot Unleashes the Speedy LX PRO Series SDHC Memory Cards

The number of device that rely on SDHC memory cards for storage purposes has literally skyrocketed over the past couple of years, this being the reason why most flash storage solutions' manufacturers (including here Patriot Memory) having a solution of this type included in their lineup.

The reason why we've chosen Patriot above all others is quite obviously related to the fact that they've just released a brand-new series of ultra-fast SDHC memory cards, the LX PRO Series, that, beside some pretty large storage capabilities, also deliver very fast data access speeds.  

Although they're officially targeting photographers and videographers (since photo and video cameras still make up the bulk of gadgets using the SDHC format for storage purposes), the truth of the matter is that the new Patriot LX PRO Series memory cards can also be used within a variety of other devices, such as Internet tablets, eBook readers, digital photo frames, etc.  

As mentioned right from the start, the new LX PRO cards from Patriot will offer quite a bit of storage space for one's data, given the fact that they're available in 16GB and 32GB versions (mid-range/high-end capabilities, according to most standards).  

Plus, the professional-grade solutions manage to attain up to 20MB/s transfer speeds, which is certainly a noteworthy feature.  

“The latest generation of professional-grade digital cameras and camcorders push quality to unprecedented levels of detail and video bitrates,” said Les Henry, Patriot Memory’s Vice President of Engineering, who also added that “with the new Patriot LX PRO Series SDHC cards, photographers and videographers can capture images in continuous shot mode or shoot films at maximum video bitrates without worrying about memory card write errors due to insufficient performance.”  

Unfortunately, Patriot Memory has not provided any pricing details regarding their new LC PRO cards, but we certainly hope that they'll provide these important pieces of information once the April shipping date draws nearer.
