It isn't a mystery any longer that Intel is currently planning the launch of its much-anticipated P55 platform and the new line of Lynnfield-based desktop processors, given the increasing number of leaked details that have recently surfaced on the Internet. In anticipation of the launch, a couple of hardware makers have recently updated their product portfolios with the introduction of a couple of new products specifically designed to support the upcoming platform. Such is the case with high-performance memory maker
Patriot Memory, which has just rolled out a new line of DDR3 memory kits designed for the aforementioned P55 Intel platform. Dubbed Sector 5, these new solutions are ready to provide computer enthusiasts with support for high-performance desktop rigs.

“The Sector 5 Series have been thoroughly tested for maximum performance with Intel's P55 chipset,” says Benny Chea, Patriot's senior application engineer. “Capable of handling the demands that high-bandwidth multimedia programs and PC games require, the Sector 5 memory has the perfect combination of density and speed to push systems beyond what is currently imaginable.”

There are several new memory kits available, each one designed to deliver different specifications for different types of users. All Sector 5 solutions are available in capacities of 4GB and can go from 1333MHz to 2000MHz, while latencies range from 7-7-7-20 to 9-9-9-24. In addition, there are three offerings that will also include the Futuremark Vantage benchmark application as a special bundle designed for enthusiasts.

As you can imagine, the new memory kits from Patriot Memory have been built for performance, consequently meaning that they have been featured with a custom cooling solution designed to keep the modules working at optimum levels, even in the case of overclocking or high-end platforms. Unfortunately we have no details on the pricing and availability of these new P55-ready DDR3 memory kits.
