In a move meant to revamp the appeal of one of its older products, Patriot Memory took its Box Office all-in-one media player and remodeled it in such a way as to incorporate multiple new advantages.

The first thing that Patriot Memory did to the Box Office media player was change its name to PBO Core.

This product measures 14.5 x 14 x 3.8 cm and is fully capable of playing high-quality multimedia files.

In fact, it has full support for the Full HD (1,080p resolution) movie quality, and this comes in addition to its other assets.

To be more specific, the PBO Core boasts Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound support, so that the audio side of the equation is covered as well.

As for storage, the revised electronic is equipped with a hard disk drive (HDD) or solid state drive (SSD) whose internal capacity is of up to 250 GB.

"What started as a standard firmware update had grown in scope and importance to include our community of users," said Jack Chen, Director of Business Development at Patriot Memory.

"In forums across the web, our community of users provide feedback and ideas on how to enhance their experience using our media player,” Chen added.

“We've taken their ideas, made improvements and rolled the result out as a new product worthy of our adoring fans: PBO Core," he went on to saying.

The all-in-one media player features three USB ports, so that files may be copied form such things as flash drives or external HDDs/SSDs.

Finally, as is required for the ability to stream said media to a monitor or HDTV, Patriot Memory naturally implemented an HDMI connector.

The price of the updated media player is $100 and full information may be found on the official product page.
